SIAS hosts 4thMarine Salon in 2015 on the New Trends of the US-Japan Alliance

On May 12, 2015, the SIAS and the Center for Oceans Strategy Studies of China at the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS) jointly convened the 4th Marine Salon in 2015. The people present discussed Japan’s nuclear issues, the Diaoyu Islands issue, and the dynamics of the US-Japan Alliance.
SIAS Executive Director Hu Hua chaired the meeting. Attendees included experts and scholars from Fudan University, the PLA National Defense University, the PLA University of International Relations, the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies, the SASS, the Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Reporters from the Jiefang Daily also attended the meeting.
