How the United States Identify Terrorists and What We Can Learn from Them

Abstract: After the 9 /11 incident, the US government learned the lessons and comprehensively strengthened the system of identifying, screening and monitoring terrorists by establishing inter-departmental mechanism for screening terrorists, creating an information-sharing network of terrorist databases, improving the procedures of identifying and screening terrorist. Seen from the anti-terrorist situation of the United States in recent years, the US approach has achieved considerable success on the whole, but there are defects as well. In the current counter-terrorist situation that is more serious, it has important practical significance of learning from the successful experience and the lessons of the United States of identifying and screening the terrorists based on our national conditions to establish an integrated, institutionalized and refined system of identifying, screening and monitoring terrorists in order to strengthen to prevent and counter the violent activities of the East Turkistan terrorists.
