The first edition of The Almanac of Shanghai-US Exchanges, compiled by the SIAS, was recently published by Shanghai Far East Publishers. 

To be released annually, the book series aims to provide a larger context for studies on China-US relations, by chronicling the modern-day history of bilateral exchanges between Shanghai and the US.

This 2016 edition is the first of its kind in China’s domestic book market that explores bilateral relations through subnational exchanges between China and the US. Capturing the highlights of cooperation between the two sides, the book covers a wide range of fields, including culture and arts, education and academia, science and technology, business and investment, and healthcare. The book also shows successful examples of collaboration both on a governmental and non-governmental level. 

Many individuals and government agencies have offered their help with the compilation work of this book, including Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture, Radio, Film & TV, Shanghai Municipal Tourism Administration, and Shanghai Academy of Educational Sciences.
