On September 16, Fabio Indeo, PhD and Assistant Professor of Politics and International Relations at the University of Bari, Italy, and Visiting Professor at the Center for Energy Governance and Security (EGS) at Hanyang University, South Korea, visited the SIAS and gave a lecture “The Impact of the Belt and Road Initiative on EU and Central Asia and Its Energy Dimension”.

Mr. Indeo dealt with the topic from three aspects. He began by analyzing how China perceives and understands EU integration process and the impact of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Then he went on to talk about how China and Central Asia could work together in the BRI and the promotion of a regional interconnectivity. He also shared his views on the cooperation between China and the Eurasian states along the route from the energy dimension and its implications.
