Delegation of American scholars attends seminar on Public Diplomacy and Sino-US Relations

On June 23, the SIAS hosted a seminar on Public Diplomacy and Sino-US Relations. Professor Jean Garrison and Thomas Seitz, PhD, from University of Wyoming, Emanuel Pastreich, a professor at Kyung Hee University in South Korea, attended the meeting. Local scholars from the Center for American Studies at Fudan University, the School of International and Public Affairs at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and the Institute of International Relations at the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences also participated in the event. Attendees discussed the role of public diplomacy in Sino-US relations and the function of Chinese cultural diplomacy.
